Gluten Free Happy Halloween Autumn Sweets Review 2024.
Happy Halloween 2024! For this bonus Halloween special, I will be reviewing some delicious autumn sweets. After all, Halloween is all about collecting and eating sweets – why should us Gluten Free VIPs miss out.
I had lots of fun looking for sweets to feature in this review. If you hadn’t of guessed it based on all the sweet bakes on my blog and Pinterest recently (I know I am subtle), I have a bit of a sweet tooth, so trying out sweets is my kind of project.
The Challenges of Finding Gluten Free Autumny/Halloweeny Sweets
As much as I could, I tried to find gluten free sweets with the most autumny/Halloweeny vibes. This was honestly more challenging than I expected. If anyone has any recommendations for other gluten free brands, which you would like me to review in the future, feel free to put this in the comments.
The 6 sweet treats which I decided to try out for this review are as follows:
- A Bag of 40 Halloween Milk Chocolate Neapolitans
- Free From Fellows Vanilla Vegan Mallows
- Moo Fizzy Boo White Choccy Bars For Dairy Dodging Choccy Monsters
- Nomo Creamy Choc Lollies 3×12g
- Nomo Crispy Mo Creamy Choc with Crispy Pieces 15g
- Nomo Mini Bars Plant-Powered Mixed Shared Box 140g
Why these 6 sweet treats?
I ended up selecting these 6 sweet treats, as I wanted to choose sweets that would appeal as much to me as the trick or treaters coming to my door. Personally, I liked that all of these sweet treats have bright and aesthetic packaging and the sweets themselves looked very inviting. I feel that together all of the sweets made a pretty nice assortment.

Now… drumroll… onto the review….
Reviewing Each of the 6 Sweet Treats
A Bag of 40 Halloween Milk Chocolate Neapolitans
Sourced from www.chocolates-for-chocoholics.co.uk, which state on their website and when I contacted them that this specific sweet treat is gluten free and suitable for coeliacs.
Out of the 6, I feel that this sweet treat has the most fun packaging. The chocolate was plain, but delicious and had a smooth texture. They reminded me of the mini chocolates given out at the end of a meal in some restaurants. They were very moreish, so I would have a few at a time for research purposes. 🙂 Overall, they were one of my favourites on the list.
Free From Fellows Vanilla Vegan Mallows
Sourced from https://www.hollandandbarrett.com/. They are free from eggs, fish, lupin, milk, molluscs, mustard, nuts, peanuts, sesame seeds, soya and sulphite. They are also vegan.
I feel like I had to include the Free From Fellows Vanilla Vegan Mallows on this list, as they are my go-to marshmallows to use and I always associate marshmallows with autumn. I can imagine that these would be particularly lovely to toast around a bonfire on an autumn evening. Considering that they are free of all of the 14 major allergens (gluten is one of these), they are everything that you want a marshmallow to be. They are fluffy and sweet with a noticeable vanilla flavour. These are definitely one of my favourites out of the 6.
Moo Fizzy Boo White Choccy Bars For Dairy Dodging Choccy Monsters
Sourced from https://www.moofreechocolates.com/, which states that this specific sweet treat is gluten free, dairy free and vegan.
I can honestly say that I have never had anything quite like these Moo Fizzy Boo White Choccy Bars in my life! They are hard to describe. They are made of white chocolate and seem to fizz in your mouth as you eat them. They are nice, but I am not the biggest fan of the fizzing. That said, I don’t normally like fizzy things, so that may be skewing my perception somewhat. I think this sweet treat is the most innovative out of the 6 in this review though.
Nomo Creamy Choc Lollies 3×12g
Sourced from https://www.sainsburys.co.uk/, they are dairy free, gluten free, egg free, nut free and suitable for vegans.
I really like the design of these cute chocolate lollies, they look very autumnal, Halloweeny to me. I feel that the trio really complement each other well. The chocolate is nice as well. Win win.
Nomo Crispy Mo Creamy Choc with Crispy Pieces 15g
Sourced from https://www.sainsburys.co.uk/, they are dairy free, gluten free, nut free, egg free and suitable for vegans.
A nice chocolate treat. I think the best part about this sweet treat is the crispy texture throughout. Good for a small autumn afternoon snack for one person.
Nomo Mini Bars Plant-Powered Mixed Shared Box 140g
Sourced from https://www.hollandandbarrett.com/. They are dairy free, gluten free, nut free, egg free, palm oil free and vegan.
I liked most of the flavours of this shared box as most of the bars complemented each other well. The chocolate itself was good. The caramel and mint flavour bars were particularly nice with the right amount of filling. I found that the creamy choc was also quite nice. I was less of a fan of the orange crunch compared to the rest, as I felt that it was not very crunchy and had a bit of an artificial aftertaste.
