Here is a list of gluten free restaurants, cafes and pubs to consider visiting when in Sussex!
Sussex is known for its amazing views as well as its amazing food. In this article, I will be sharing restaurants that advertise gluten-free options on their websites. Where I find it, I will also share the names of restaurants in Sussex that cater for a gluten-free diet that are also dog-friendly.

All of the establishments listed here advertise gluten free options to the best of my knowledge. This may be subject to changes. Most of these places on this list have mixed kitchens that also handle gluten, so always keep this in mind when dining at these places. I have starred all the places, where I have personally visited.

Even if something is listed as gluten free on a menu, I always let my server know that I am coeliac and require my meal to be gluten free, which I would always recommend as it has definitely saved me from being glutened in the past.

A really nice restaurant along the high street. I ordered off the gluten free weekend brunch menu. There were quite a few vegan and vegetarian options on this menu too – vegan Korean cauliflower, vegan wedge salad, vegan Santorini salad, vegan stacked blueberry pancakes and a vegetarian halloumi burger. They had a range of shawarmas, from meaty chicken shawarma to vegetarian halloumi shawarma to vegan shawarmas – I have never seen so many shawarmas on a gluten free menu! They are very dog friendly. They even have a dog menu! The staff were lovely, they gave my dog treats and put down a water bowl by my table.
