Tips and Tricks
Choosing the seasoning that works for you
I decided to use oregano, basil, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper. I thought these perfectly added to the flavour of the Spaghetti Bolognese. However, if you want to add some more, or just different seasonings, I have some more recommendations including: parsley and garlic powder. I know there are a lot of garlic haters in this world. There are garlic haters within my own family, that is why I didn’t use garlic in my original recipe in the first place. However, if you need to add garlic, or any other seasoning/ ingredient, please make sure to customise this recipe to suit you!❤️😄

Gluten Free Beef Stock Granules but no hot water? – explained
Many Spaghetti Bolognese recipes will require you to add boiling water alongside the beef stock, and yes in some recipes I think it is required, for this I don’t think it is. There is already so much water from the tinned tomatoes, that adding in boiling water will dilute, and just add excess water to the Bolognese.
As with everything, there is usually a but. So the but in this case is that if instead of using tinned tomatoes (which I just use because I think they are much more convenient) you use fresh tomatoes, then the Bolognese will require some extra water with the granules and thus the hot water will then be required for the recipe.

Adjustments
Making the recipe vegan
To make this recipe vegan there are a couple of substitutions that will be required, first of all a gluten free vegan spaghetti will need to be used. Additionally, all of the animal products will need to be taken out and adjustments will need to be made to suit your preference. I know that a lot of people like to substitute the beef with aubergine, I am not the biggest fan of aubergine but it is harty and can be good for the main meal. Obviously, make sure to substitute the parmesan cheese with a vegan cheese instead if you would like.

To Salt Or Not To Salt…
When it comes to salting the Spaghetti Bolognese, I personally believe a little will go along way. Whilst I think it is nice to add that little sprinkle, I wouldn’t add anymore than that. However, I do believe it is necessary to get the most flavour out of the meat and all of the ingredient. But, in this world we all have different dietary requirements, so if you need a no salt diet, just skip the adding the salt step. Don’t worry it will be just as nice without it as it is with it. Happy eating!😉❤️
